"Sharon Pontier is a retired Teacher, who now devote much time to her own art expression. Currently she is a curator of a small gallery housed a the UU Fellowship Building in Newton. Local artists are invited to participate according to themes in that gallery. Although Sharon has a varied interest in her art expression, she currently is working mainly with Collage and abstracted design.
She continues to expand her experience and knowledge through classes with professional artists as well as ongoing critiques that allow the growth of ideas and excellence. She has exhibited work through the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Gallery in Newton, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, Barryville Arts Alliance, and with the Art Muse exhibits in Newton and at the Sussex County Collage.” Contact: sbp224@icloud.com
The art that I find myself most involved with currently is mixed media paintings. To be able to use many different types of materials gives me a freedom to enhance my ideas and express them more fully. I am a local artist who has lived in this community for over 40 years. I have been involved with many organizations and community activities. I love the time I can spend working on art and with artists. Currently I help facilitate a small gallery in the Unitarian Fellowship Building, which generally displays art according to themes.
